What's that maneuver called where you jump off of the curb over the moat of slushy gutter water to land in 6 inches of gray-brown, salty slush?

You'll probably get wider moats tomorrow. Did the slushy moat freeze enough overnight to bear your weight? One way to find out!

Sigh...living in Wisconsin for a few years now has completely jaded me. I used to hope for snow, now I can't stand it. :(

@StreamOfConsciousness: Same here. But Chicago and not Wiconsin jaded me. For years, I lamented the lack of snow in NYC and now? well, yeah, it's just a daily thing.

So if you flip these images and colorize them, you can call it art, right?

It drizzled in L.A. today, but I bravely decided to drive to work anyway. I may even go outside this afternoon, if I can find my jacket.

It drizzled? Really? I didn't feel any rain when I was sitting on my deck here in Silver Lake this morning in my shorts and flip flops eating my oatmeal popsicle.

@TedSez: You wuss. The temperature plummeted to 37ºF this evening in Madrid. I had to button my coat!

Thank you, Gawker, for killing the homesickness that's been nipping at me for days. Ah, yes. A New York winter.

Urg, snow in NYC is interesting for about 7.2 seconds, and then it becomes piss-slush, often leaving me with a menagerie of white salt-stained pant cuffs. Pfffttt! Take all that Macy's window, Radio City, Central Park lookey-loo business back to the movies.

Jealous! It's 'summer' here, and it's raining. It's also really hot (17 degrees), so I'm stuck in a humid, sweaty, frizzy purgatory of my own.

@Xylo: Ha, you don't know pain until you slip over in roman sandals. They were pretty much the bane of my existence the entire thirteen years of my schooling, as most/nearly all schools in New Zealand are uniform schools, and every school has roman sandals as part of their summer uniform. The soles are crap, and it's really easy to slip over on a wet day.
