    My gym's entry system is pretty low-tech. It's a flat bench with 315 lbs. on the bar. Three or more reps? "Enjoy your workout!" Less than three reps? "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY SIGHT!!!" Keeps out the riff-raff.

    @Foster Kamer: Honestly, I wouldn't put that past them. They glom onto every expensive trend and promote it as part of the "Equinox Lifestyle."

    Their whole shtick is to sell members on it being not just a gym but a "lifestyle brand." They even (attempt to) teach the trainers how to market the "Equinox as lifestyle" thing.

    As for me I joined New York Sports Club because they have like 300 locations in NYC so there's always someplace to use the loo when you are out and about.
