"Craft" has got to be the most unbearably precious concept for a restaurant chain ever. Please stop "honoring the protein," cook my motherfucking food and shut up about it.
@Itsjustcatnip: @saythatscool: I wish they would have kept the old name, namely, "Marthasville." Then you could say that you have a two hour layover in Marthasville on your way to someplace more interesting.
This is just from random memory, but one of the complaints I've read about Craftsteak is that, weirdly, they oven-bake the steaks, at least in part. In a city where people rarely have grills at home, it's an odd way to go about it.
That scorchin', sizzling, black char grill smokey taste.. gaa now I'm fucking hungry.
@Baroness: Unless you can take the A/C/E, it's far. Real far. Try walking over from the F train and lemme know how your tootsies feel afterwards. Also, since Giuliani cleared the hookers out of there, the only reason to go to 10th Ave is if you have dinner reservations or are headed to a gallery, so for the ladies (and a small but wonderfully accessorized group of men) heels are involved.

1) Craftsteak also recently closed for lunch, and is only open for dinner.
2) I consider this "West Chelsea", not MPD.
3) Craftsteak is on the same block as Morimoto and Del Posto.
4) 10th Ave. isn't *that* far, Richard. West Side Hwy? Might as well be Jersey.
