    The lede on the S.C. political blog that broke the story: "One of S.C. Attorney General Henry McMaster’s top lieutenants has abruptly resigned from his post after allegations of a cemetery sex tryst with a prostitute surfaced Monday."

    The lede on the S.C. paper - the biggest in the state - following it up: "An assistant state attorney general was stopped in his car by a Columbia police officer Monday on suspicion of illegal activity, identified himself as an employee of the attorney general's office, and was not charged with a crime."

    Can you imagine the shit storm on the right if Russell Fieingold (or someone) had shouted out (truthfully!) 'Liar!' when Bush laid out that bull crap about Iraq buying yellow cake from Niger? The rants of "Un-American" "Nazi" "Socialist", you name it, would have been deafening.

    There is no sufficient citizenship verification requirements to ensure illegal immigrants are excluded from benefits they are not due in this health care bill. Republicans did have legislation in the bill that required verification to ensure citizenship, but it was taken out by the democrats. So what you now have, is a bill that will provide care to anyone who asks for it without any sort of verification on citizenship. Joe Wilson was right on the money.

    He perfectly summed up the right's position on health insurance reform in a two-word sentence. All that was missing was for him to hold his breath, stamp his feet and wet himself and the hissy fit tantrum Republicans are having over these much-needed, incremental steps would have been complete.

    So...how much did the insurance companies donate to his last few campaigns, anyway?
