    @pillowparade: I once received a postcard from my grandparents that was delivered three weeks late, torn half-through, creased, and covered in grease stains. It was sealed inside a clear plastic pouch that was printed with a standard message from the USPS that said, in effect, "Shit happens, you can't sue us." No apology. Not even the hint of an apology.


    Sometimes people think that if they say some of the words that come from a typical apology, and say them in a smooth manner, you won't realize you've just been tricked.

    @pillowparade: I always think that type of thing is more of a non-apology i.e. "sorry to those of you who were offended." Translation = I really don't give a shit what you think, but am saying the right thing to get out of trouble.
