    @Owen Thomas: HootSuite is what you use when you want to make sure your posts go out when the maximum number of people will be listening. It's the best scheduling app there is, but if you're actually involved in the conversation on Twitter it doesn't add anything.


    I love Power Twitter, but I think it needs a mainframe to bring it up to speed.

    @Social Crimer: Well, the anonymous, faceless masses here just do it for the shits. But people on Twitter actually put themselves out like they're a fabulous new brand of rice cracker. Then they whore themselves out to as many people as possible while providing no actual material of their own. So it's a giant stream of contentless vanity. I actually think it would be an honest improvement if Twitter were just a single button that posted the phrase "pay attention to me".

    @Carlos: Every time I come upon a "new" web 2.0 "platform" I have to compare it to the 'for a good time' bathroom graffiti that I found in a john in Japan off an interchange running thru Tokyo on a cold, metallic day. Hai.


    Most of web 2.0 I find wanting. Twitter's like old boring the old SMS's that you're too lazy to scroll down to delete.
