    @Weegee's bored: Questions and scrutiny are good. Perhaps had more scrutiny been given before his election, Blago wouldn't be gov.


    In any case, I don't see how this can play out without a special election for the senator. I mean, I understand the logistics and legalities of how it could happen via appointment at this point...but I imagine the poor sap appointed would be ruined, even if (S)he had nothing to do with any of this.
