This article reads like a particularly compelling episode of Power, Privilege & Justice, but without DD! I have to say I am impressed with this nefarious character. "Isn't this grand!" may be my new motto for future gatecrashing!

I did not know about the submarine option from Hyannis to Nantucket. I wonder if it's faster or slower than the ferry?

Perhaps police should also start asking this guy some hard questions regarding the last time he's been to Montauk and if he is known to associate with any monsters.

I kind of like the name 'Snooks'. Is it the name on her birth certificate, or just a nickname?

And the Periodic Table thing is weird, but awesome! My parents were mad determined that we grow up scientists when my siblings and I were younger; my mother used to get me to recite the Periodic Table (I still can, but only up to the first twenty elements or so), and my father used to quiz us with simultaneous equations during car trips.

@SaraRueful: I was too young for MC Hammer. Both my engineers were parents with backgrounds in chemistry, maths, and geology (my father once tried to trick me into collecting rocks), as were a lot of our family friends, so it always seemed kind of normal to me.

Of course, as per my requisite rebellion, I am now studying Religious Studies and Media Studies at university. Ha, take that!

If someone sent me a text that said they were in a submarine I would think that they were liar. Then I would backtrack and my insecurities would lead me to believe that they were actually telling the truth and that I have the worst cell plan ever as sometimes I can't get service in my own bedroom and my friend is out in gallavanting around in a a submarine with Verizon's special underwater cell phone service.

I'd be curious to know more about Snook's mother. It seems like she was a smart, sucessful woman - yet she was completely taken in for years. Perhaps she was a victim of her own bougerious pretenious - so thrilled that she had the attention of a Rockefeller that she didn't notice she had never seen an id or been invited to an Exxonmobile stockholders meeting.
