Yeah, everyone in flyover country who somehow thinks Beck ISN'T a member of the "cultural elite" he and they rail against should be forced to sit and watch this 100 times. Beck is an ACTOR. @Richard Lawson: You're right in theory, but based on my anthropological research of my parents, his fans would probably see this and just think it's cool that he's doing a magazine cover shoot and being zany and stuff. His fans are not at all the Thomas Paine types he likes to portray, and they're not averse to the showbiz/schticky element of his show. I think Beck would actually do well on Broadway. Liza Minelli could coach him. She'd probably have to tell him to tone it down, though.
