    I think Newsweek was definitely attempting to move to the flashier side of news, but are we supposed to get mad about this? Oh shit, a news magazine is actually attempting to be timely, grab readers and provide an interesting perspective on a huge issue. BURN THEM !!!!!!!

    If you read Grey's piece, it clearly faults the public's obsession with these ridiculous scandals into making people feel guilty and ashamed, a topic she is more than schooled on. And yes, Grey might just be a porn star, but wouldn't she know best on how to move on after the entire nation knows about your secrets? This Lopez broad didn't prove anything in this article other than what Grey was discussing, the public is still prude city when it comes to conversations about sexuality and intercourse.

    @bluebears: If you read both articles, it was more about the public's obsession with outing sex scandals, not Grey's perception of political wives. She discusses various other people like Heidi Fleiss and Christie Brinkley, Lopez just went for the easy target there.

    Savage works to restore the reputation of homosexual men after it has been tarnished by the likes of Craig. He writes: "It annoys people like me — openly gay men — when the Craig incident is described as a ‘gay sex scandal,’ as if his actions in the toilet that day tell you something about gay men. Openly gay people — gay men with integrity — have boyfriends and husbands. When I want a b*** j**, I don’t have to fly to Minnesota and lurk in a toilet. I just have to go home."

    This is why people know who Dan Savage is and why no one has ever heard of this gimp-faced Repug (Lopez). What a tremendous distinction there is in fostering understanding through the written word--hanging your own personal experiences out there for others' judgment and ridicule--rather than criticizing, denigrating and otherwise hailing oneself morally superior over others through the same medium. It's the difference between a worthwhile read and listening to some ranty cunt project her dissatisfaction with herself onto others. VOM-it.

    I get why she's hating on Sasha Grey, Lopez is sexually repressed (Lopez is over 30, unmarried and very Catholic I doubt she's ever gotten laid). But why hate on Savage? Does he automatically qualify as a pervert b/c he's a homo? Otherwise, I thought she would agree with his opinion about Craig. Bottomline, Lopez needs to get laid.

    @heywhat: Wow. Yet again, I think I have been actually rendered more gay by a comment on Gawker.

    Lopez may be like the proverbial screen door (will loosen up once its been banged a few times,) but the thought of the poor bastard who has to take *that* one for the team makes me want to hurl.
