    As one of the few Kanye-defenders around here, let me just say it:


    "808 & Heartbreak" is the biggest piece of shit ever recorded. His abuse of auto-tune and the Roland 808 should be some kind of war crime. Terrible, terrible, terrible album.

    @Botswana Meat Commission FC: As another one of the few Kanye Defenders, let me just say, I enjoyed 808's in a way similar to how I enjoy it when I'm out running errands after a really long day at work, and the next store I go into has the radio tuned to a dance station instead of a light station. Initial jolt of 'Oh, a beat! Fun!', but then a minute later, as I reach for the fabric softener, I realize I'm still just exhausted and bored and actually, kind of pissed off now 'cause it isn't Friday night (it's Tuesday evening) and I don't feel anything near alright, There is no party here on the East side, there are definitely no 40s within arms reach and NOBODY EVER DD's for me, ever. Then I go home and cry into the towels as I fold them.


    This album was kind of like that.
