Pete Wentz: As Gay as He Needs to Be For Gays to Like Him

Hey you know what's cool about Pete Wentz? Absolutely nothing. Well, OK, fine. It's cool that the Fall Out Boy bassist, professional celebrity, and Joe Simpson son-in-law is not homophobic, as is evidenced by his recent Out magazine cover story. But the way he scampers along, teasing about his various make-out seshes with boys "on a dare" ten years ago is just so pandering and false. He claims that he's sorta queer, but only "above the belt," because male "equipment" just doesn't do it for him. He doesn't even like his own cock! How zany, how hip, how fucking rock 'n roll. When Craigy Met Xenu

Because it's a lovely spring Friday (with birds and sun and loud, thumping reggaeton) and because I'm on a never-ending quest to ruin this website, I thought I'd post another video blargh by everyone's favorite Broadway nut, Craig Stevens. Yeah, yeah. I know. He's a made-up character named after a voice teacher at NYU, but whatever. The videos are funny and depressing. In this installment the lil' diva recounts adventures at Spamalot, worries about work, gushes about some warbly Wicked actress, and reveals that (unbeknownst to him) he was hoodwinked by rascally Scientologists. Enjoy it after the jump. Or go outside. More »

Tom Cruise, Gay Ruse

Ben Widdicombe recently had a chat with former Village Person Randy Jones, mainly about the geigh singer's new memoir Macho Man. Jones recounted one story from the book, about Tom Cruise, that was eventually vagued-up after the Queen of Scientology's lawyers got involved. Though Jones had no problem talking about the incident with ol' Dame Widdicombe, saying "Tom and I had the same management company at the time. I met him at a party Andy Warhol threw for Peter Gatien's Limelight [nightclub offshoot] in Atlanta." It was apparently "quite the party." Poor Tommy. All these old stories about his early career keep popping up and there's really nothing he can do about it. More »
