    @eleusiswalks: Really? My inbox is clogged with OKC messages from semi-eligible young bachelors. I think the trick is that you have to fill out a few quizzes and stuff for the automated system to be able to match you. Who knew that 30 of my up-down opinions on inane questions like "Do you support the constitutional right to burn the flag" is all I needed to find the love of my life.

    @Solomon Grundy: Yeah they're compatibility percentages don't actually tell you much about how you'll actually get on with someone. I've met a couple people from OKC who were supposedly great matches for me! Turned out.. not so much.

    You failed to mention that Adam4Adam is for black and Latino guys and their admirers, primarily. Er, or so I read.

    Also, be careful, because every poz guy I know uses Adam4Adam and Manhunt for non-status-disclosed hookups. If guys on there don't disclose their HIV status (and even if they say it's negative), you should assume it's positive. Just be aware of that, and play safe.

    We recently ran a story about the spike in HIV transmission rates in guys under 27 who hook up with other guys in NYC, and the rates are shockingly high. It's almost the 70s all over again here. Among young Af-Am guys in New York, some experts claim it to be around 40%. I think misusing these kinds of sites has a lot to do with that.

    But anyhow, welcome, new Gawker Gay. Color me intrigued.
