I doubt his shiny star will last very long in any case.

He's not acting as a group advocate but as a group member. Instead of message points, he wants the freedom to express himself however he wants. Of course, that's the stated goal of gay equality, so in the long-term, he's doing more for gays than GLAAD. But now, he seems politically awkward and embarrassing.

Agreed. On this point, we are in complete harmony.

Damn. Guess that means I have to go out and buy a TV now. Being a gay is so hard!
PS - If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on Glambert for that one, even though Hasselbeck did eat nothing but algae and lillypads in Australia for a month a few years ago.

Also: I could not possibly think any less of Hasselbeck, so I hope he wipes the floor with her and her retro 1950's housewife prejudices.

Parks and Rec has totally won me over, beginning with Amy Poehler ruling the Pawnee gay bar. The first season was the biggest disappointment of that TV year, but it's now a solidly amusing little show. The boss guy is always spot on, like with the breakfast buffet bit. And I really laughed when the overweight guy says he's always wanted Aziz Ansari's bod. Hm, maybe I just enjoy humor about men struggling with their weight.

That all it takes is goth wear to make Barbara Walters look about 50 years younger is both horrifying and wonderful. #billoreilly
