Jonathan Pollard has some fucking nerve , did he not get the memo about who Madoff preferred victims were as in Jewish charities. I want to see this come up next time another Israeli prime minister puts Pollard on the table in a negotiation #berniemadoff
@adiam7: I'm actually not sure exactly what kinds of memos they get in prison. Of course, I didn't know they got pizza, so who knows what these people are privy to? #berniemadoff
@The Curse of Millhaven: I guess so but i am thinking in terms of the people ho regularly lobby on Pollard's behalf. This guy targeted Jewish charities, most of which will never function again. I just think in terms of self-preservation that Pollard would be more careful. Don't get me wrong Pollard is a piece of shit who spied on his country but if I were him I would not go anywhere near Madoff #berniemadoff
well, we all have seen the clip (played ad infinitum) of Bernie shoving that cameraman while on his way back to his penthouse, so it's not surprising he's got the fire a little bit. But the prisoner he shoved is "about his age"..
I want to see him take on some young thug that's tattooed from head to toe but it doesn't sound like they allow him to mingle with that group... #berniemadoff
@lobstr: There's nothing nice, kind, charitable, or in any way redemptive to be said about Madoff, but the cameraman shoved him first, and hard. #berniemadoff
Rub a Dub Dub, 3 cons in a tub!
So, you have this mob guy, a ponzi schemer, and a spy eating pizza .... prepared by the delicate fingers of a child molester.....that's rich! #berniemadoff
Just to clarify, is the child molester making pizza as a hobby and sharing with Bernie because they get along or is the child molester assigned a kitchen job and everyone is forced to eat his pizza? This is important. #berniemadoff
@Lou Nunez: It's funny. I thought the News just mangled whatever was in the court document but it reads that way in the Amended Complaint which is on behalf of the investors against banks and accounting firms:
pg. 11
Rather than spending time on private planes or his yachts, or residing in his luxury apartment in Manhattan, his Montauk, Long Island and Palm Beach mansions, or his property in Cap d’Antibe, France, Madoff now shares a cell with a 21-year old inmate convicted of drug crimes. Madoff sleeps in the lower bunk and he eats pizza cooked by an inmate convicted of child molestation. His recreation consists of walking around the prison track at night. He now spends time with former Colombo crime family boss Carmine Persico and Jonathan Pollard, who was convicted of spying for Israel. Most of his fellow inmates are in prison for drug crimes or sex crimes and Madoff will spend the rest of his life in prison with them. #berniemadoff
Eating pizza, hanging out with "junior." One would imagine that Mr. Persico slices his garlic wafer-thin.
"Current leadership
As of November 2007, Carmine "Junior" Persico still remains the reputed Boss of the Colombo crime family, with current street boss Thomas "Tommy Shots" Gioeli, and former Persico rival, John "Sonny" Franzese as the Underboss, but due to parole violations, Andrew "Andy Mush" Persico is the acting Underboss instead of Franzese, with the Aloi brothers, Vincenzo and Benedetto, as alleged Consigliere.
Carmine Persico has reportedly been running the Colombo crime family since the 1970s, days after Joseph Colombo was shot, and Persico’s name has been mentioned in dozens of murder-cases since then, as he has been in charge of the Colombos for over three decades. During his 50-year-membership with the Colombo crime family, he has survived three internal wars, his life sentence, and allegedly been shot more than 20 times. Persico is also only one of three defendants from the Mafia Commission Trial who received 100 years and is still alive."
@Uncle_Billy_Slumming: Check this out: Some chick once had a full Italian meal cooked by one of Carmine Persico's capos. Steve Bing, the billionaire, was also in attendance.
