    @bjonston: I can always complain. It's cold. I'm lacking company (sorry Frenchy! not you!). And I have this fucking chapter that I am trying to finish tomorrow. So, you know, there's the pressure. But it is quiet and I have a very comfortable bed with lots of down and pillows to look forward to, so it's not all bad.

    I know it makes me lose all street cred to say so, but I still think Joanna Newsom's voice sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard. I can only listen to her songs when they're getting covered by somebody else (see: the Decemberists' "Bridges and Balloons.")


    Andy Samberg is funny as hell, though.

    @carolinemccarthy: She's an acquired taste, that's for sure, but she's one of my favorite artists. I think Ys may be my favorite album by anyone ever. Her voice took me a long time but once I got past it, I was able to appreciate it.
