"outlaw stylists secretly cutting hair on the cheap at "hair parties."
OK - first off: outlaw stylists? do they resemble the village people? secondly, are these anything like the silicon pumping parties which have been killing trannies, where they inject off the shelf silicon from home despot into their breasts?
@Minsley Tortimer: Oh, Minsley, I love you! I'm so glad someone else calls it Home Despot. Which is often located in close proximity to Blood Bath & Beyond.
and there's the whole haircut sham too, where you get the nice cut then you go home and wash it and realize you will always have the same uncooperative hair. That's why I dye mine to smithereens and iron the crap out of it.I only get my hair cut twice a year. Works for me.
It isn't a Trend Piece until you co-opt either of the phrases "Tale of Two [bonus cool if it rhymes with/is Cities]", or "it was the best of times, it was the worst of times".
This is an especially cringeworthy Thursgay, even more than usual. Besides this groundbreaking, paradigm-shifting article, we can read about people who pay people to make playlists for their home(s) and how men's fashion is cyclical!
Oh you Youngs... I've been living in fear of the return of a whole bunch of hideous things from the '70s. The summer scarf is nothing compared to a possible return of gauchos.
To be sure, statistics on the phenomenon are hard to come by, but one or two anecdotes from our fussy, white, overeducated social circle prove that it exists.
I would have to disagree with the statement that America transforms into "a conventional Hollywood beauty whenever she appears on a red carpet or magazine cover." She's pretty enough, and though I prefer her looks to those of a conventional Hollywood beauty, I don't she is one.
