seems like many companies are eager to make money off twitter, except twitter themselves. i could see people paying money to subscribe to a service that provides 'insider' updates on sports betting or fantasy sports.
Twitter is the ultimate hammer looking for a nail. I'm waiting for the Darwin effect to cause all Twitter users to die a premature death so the rest of us can get back to real work.
Almost everything you can conceive of doing with Twitter can be done better with some other tool, but you conformists on the left coast glom onto whatever your friends are using, until the whole thing collapses (along with the California economy).
Twitter should charge users with the largest accounts. It seems counter-intuitive, but that's the captive install base. People who market themselves and provide services via Twitter should pay for the usage of the network. Average client accounts won't be affected.
At the very least, Denton should subscribe so that his minions can mock the Wall Street Warrior and his Tweets. Although that hardly seems like a steady income stream.

Have fun out there. We'll be watching.

You pay me to follow you on Twitter. I'll read every Tweet. I promise.
