Say what you will, but this kid's been in the spotlight for over a year now, and he's somehow keeping his head above water. No major scandals, no huge slipups, no publicly-pressured apologies for something weird he did when he was 12... He's making money and acting as permanent bete noir to the Republican Icon, and no one can do anything about it.
@limber: What? The whole thing is a scandal, a slipup, a public manipulation. He's built his house on a foundation of public pressure. It would all be fine with me if he would just show some wang already. #levijohnston
I don't want to interrupt your bitchfest -- but Tinsley and Levi were each impressive in their own way. I'd assumed Tinsley Mortimer would be one of those entitled children of privilege. But she's charming, either because that's her nature or because that is now as a socialite-reality-star her job. And Levi Johnston, while monosyllabic, did demonstrate a stolid self-assurance last night. #tinsleymortimer
I might as well bust out of the closet: I like Levi Johnston.
His good looks coupled with that perennial "aw-shucks" vibe do a number of me. He's like a contemporary iteration of Huck Finn--a good-hearted white-trash boy with a streak of fundamental decency who fell in with some unsavory company and got swayed by the dark currents swirling around him. Not intelligent, but shrewd in that instinctive way in which smart-yet-uneducated people often are. An innocent who believes that he's manipulating circumstances to his advantage even as other, more nefarious and skilled behind-the-curtain players manipulate HIM. A handsome pawn who thinks himself a knight. A dumb, good-looking, a-hole saint.
I find it interesting that Levi was difficult to approach because he was flanked by enormous black men. Would enormous white man-flankange be more easily passed? #levijohnston
I can't help thinking about Bristol, wiping the baby vomit out of her hair, reading her mother's latest tweet about how they're sure showing that Levi who's boss in Alaska now and seeing this picture.
Should Levi get a walk on in Gossip Girl that girl might actually start to get my root for the underdog sympathies. Well, no, not actually. Ever. #tinsleymortimer
