I love that all major life changes with Jim & Pam are seen, but not heard. A la, the proposal at the rest stop.... the BABY through the hospital window! I think it makes it that much more powerful.

So, 30 Rock last night was just kind of...off. It felt like it was written by somebody who SHOULD get the show, but who does not. The jokes were just 80% as good as normal. Still better than most shows, but it just didn't quite make it for me. I was really puzzled by it. I spent most of the show going "Huh. I SHOULD be laughing at that, and the premise is good, but....weird."

I wish they hadn't completely given away the end of The Office by doing that dumb "there's no chance you're pregnant?" bit as Pam gets wheeled away for the x-ray. Yes, I realize they ask all young women that question, but it completely destroyed the surprise.

I love all of these shows. Especially The Office, I thought the last few episodes were excellent. Me and my friends are starting our own Cafe Disco at work.

It's been so wonderfully refreshing to see The Office find its way back to greatness. John Krasinski stole the show at the end, but I thought everyone was fantastic. Recognizing Dwight's BFF as the guy with the foot fetish from Sex and the City totally added to the enjoyment.

@Mary Mouse: Yes, that's James! He was also one of the leads in Henry Fool. A great actor, very active with downtown theater in the 90s before he got famous as a "character actor" specializing in characters that make you very uncomfortable. He is really nice for someone who plays creepy people.

@Khrushchev: Any of the second and third season moments where Jim contemplates telling Pam how he feels, or is dealing with the fallout of the revelations, are amazing little bits of acting. When Jim has to drop the pretense of slacker casualness about his life and struggle with his feelings, he's a surprisingly touching character.

I thought The Office would just leave the pregnancy with the subtle hint offered by the x-ray technician (when she asked if Pam thinks she might be pregnant), but the way they carried it out was very sweet. Well-played, Krasinski.

I liked "The Office" and was equally touched by Krasinski's trapped tears. The ending of "30 Rock" was awkward as hell that I thought my video player cut off prematurely. I always knew there was something off about Elvis Costello. I will like to thank the show for shining a light on his "other" life.
