    16 and pregnant is just like True Life and Made and all of those other MTV Docs except they added Juno pictures. But MTV has been doing TrueLife style reality shows since 1998, the Real World since like 92. The Hills premiered in 2006. That was three years ago. I don't understand this article or what anyone's talking about.

    @JohanPaladin: Well, Laguna Beach premiered in 2004, so we've had five years of this stuff. Of that, of Newport Harbor, of The City. It's really the volume. Four "seasons" of LB five or six of The Hills. MTV's slate has been pretty well stocked with this junk for the past five years. And that's ending now, supposedly, at least in some part. That's the thrust of the article.

    While we're at it, can we get rid of those pseudo-dating shows on MTV, where they look for semen in kids' bedrooms with black lights and go on dates with kids' parents?
