A quick look at the Google news feed shows she was fired from a project in Puerto Rico the first week of December. Two days later, TMZ reported her husband made a frantic 911 call on her behalf, and even posted the recording from the call.

She was definitely having some troubled times and difficulties coping.

    Very sad news, indeed.

I know TMZ has historically been reliable on celebrity deaths, but I really need someone else to confirm it before I can accept it. I never quite thought of myself as a Brittany Murphy fan, but I own three of her movies on DVD so I feel like that qualifies me. Plus, I saw Uptown Girls. Twice.

@harlemite: I think there was a long-running thread of stories about her having substance abuse issues and flaking out on commitments. A heart attack at 32 makes me wonder if it was an underlying condition or if something that can cause the heart to race and seize might have been involved.

    God, that is SO young.

Also? Uptown Girls is possibly the best cheesy romantic comedy of all time. When the girls bring out the guitars at the recital...

Vulgar cops? Sure, they exist, though this one wasn't exactly sticking his gun in a snowball thrower's face. Some cops are indeed assholes. This one isn't one of those.

Also, for all the people in this thread whining about their pot bust, try not breaking the law next time.I'm going to spend this afternoon cuddling with a guy who has hauled a homeless person off a subway track, gotten a heroin addicted hooker a legit job, and delivered a baby in a taxi.

    He's a cop. Fuck you.

Did you even see the video clip which is, in fact, a clip?

Perhaps you should also see the clip of some Long Island douches throwing a frozen turkey at a driver, which required her to get plastic surgery to look even close to what she looked like before.
