You may need to update the timeline. Several other gossip sites are reporting that he may have an illegitimate child on the way.

I can tell she's very talented, but that stupid "just kidding" lady is just...well, unfunny. She's a cross between Kevin Nealon's "subliminal guy" and...um, some other character that annoys me.

This is probably a one-off skit, but Wiig's impression of a theater actress circa 1960 is so incredible, is has fast become my favorite character she has ever done. LOOK AT ME!

Um, yeah. This Lawrence Welk skit made a sound occur from my face that wasn't pleasant. Never watch "The Wiig" while innocently eating ice-cream. A choke-chortle-wheeze-spit-cough-lady bark isn't pretty.

The whole idea of journalists being friends and breaking bread and quaffing drinks with the politicians they cover is disturbing; romantic involvement is just the worst extreme. I for one don't like it when Brian Williams is invited to state dinners or when a Ben Bradlee pals around with a JFK. I'm not saying journalists vote, but I do think that when it comes to socializing on any level, they need to take a vow of politico-socio celibacy.

Gilly reminds me of Horatio Sanz's Carol. People either really love her or reaaaallly hate her.

Though I think more people defended Carol, which isn't saying much.

@hortense: Carol, however, followed the unalterable comedy rule "Fat guy in drag = funny". Gilly does not.

I'm not gonna stand for this sitting around and complaining about anything Kristen Wiig does. She. Is. Amazing. And god bless SNL actually is smart enough to use her in nearly ever skit. And they'd damn well better be paying her well too. When she quits it, I quit it.

I'll say it - I really liked the original Gilly skit. I feel like there's a lot of gold to be mined there, but the formula needs to be tightened up so that the skits don't go too long and asphyxiate themselves. This is a potentially great vehicle for some very dark humor, and any number of ways to make social commentary. She might be a better character to use for the Digital Shorts - editing might free the process a little.

    Love Kristen Wiig, though.

@Swifter: We are considering renaming our girl cat Gilley because she's so similar to the character. She does something insane, then when called on it, does that same sort of "What?" thing and follows it up with "Sorry."

And you know she doesn't mean it. She never means it.

I also like her Madonna impression and when she played Amy Poehler's movie-reviewing aunt. And she is simply spectacular as Beeker when the cast does the Muppets. Seriously, I love that.
