    Greek women too. Like the beautiful young Greek women that I met in a nightclub in Santorini. They invited me to come with them to a remote beach the next day. We rented a little boat which took us 45 minutes away from town to a strip of red sand hidden away from all but direct views from the sea. Out of the boat, off with the clothes, hours of frolicking in the water. They then used me up like a kind of semi-autonomous sex toy, packed me up into the boat and dropped me off back at civilization a little flustered. Don't know if it was more octopus, frappe, or donkey ride, but it was definitely more fun than olives.

    This reminds me of the time I left my (now -ex) drunk girlfriend in my apartment for maybe 35 minutes, only to return to find her smashing full jars of spaghetti sauce and ketchup all over my walls, floors, and ceiling.

    @The Boulevard of Broken Queens: No kidding. I've got a friend who's working on a similar trajectory. He's currently working on his own system of yoga, so I expect to read about him the papers in a year or two after a similar psychotic break.

    The problem with this story is that they don't mention that a picture of the kitchen has metadata that predates the incident by over a YEAR.

    @Hydroceph: if the reality is that some melodramatic party promoter made up a story about his friend losing his shit in some seeming meth rage and trashing his crap so he can get new crate & barrel...isn't that also just fun? i'm rooting for that angle myself because it is the funniest possible.

    The comments on both the Observer story and a Village Voice blog piece about this imply that this incident has caused somewhat of a kerfuffle among the NYC community; many of them are calling it a hoax. I'm kind of intrigued.

    I have to give him props for not pressing charges. But I hear that Tratner has taken to the Internet to solicit donations and that this dude even has a Target Registry. I was surprised that Gawker was late to break this story, Gothamist had the house sitter from Hell scoop yesterday.
