Tina Fey presenting = good.
Tina not getting to announce a tie-win for Amy & Jane = bad.
Me booing but later hearing about Chennie’s cancer-survivor mom = guilty.
But I still wish Palin Rapper or Janet Jimplin had gotten it.
At least I perked up again when I got to yell WTFJonCryer?IsntThisaComedyAward?
Also: Weiner and McFarlane seem like d-bags. Gervais,Timberlake, Fallon - not as funny as they think they are.
[OK, maybe I’m a little burned out 'cos I’m a geek fanwoman who actually watched most of the red carpet and show.]

Tongue-in-cheek is one thing, but you're making yourself irrelevant.

BTW, who was your line editor at the LAT? Betsy? Rich N.? Awesome Bret? Former LAT-er here, and I swore to Gods in heaven--if they get rid of Bret I will never, ever pick up that paper again. Or visit their website.

I guess they wanted a way to bring some Family Guy into the show since there had been excitement and press around the nomination and it was clear the show would never win.

and @flythedelorean: Some of us were using that time to watch shows we hadn't previously had time for on DVD, so, ya know--still keepin' it real.

First, take geek writer Joss Whedon, fan-loved by the masses. Add some of his family, who also know how to write and choreograph and play music.
Then add an amazing singing talent of Neil Patrick Harris, playing a guy called Dr. Horrible who wants to get into the Evil League of Evil. He must do something truly terrible to get into the League. Doc has a blog in which he reports (in song) his various triumphs and failures, along with the fact that he pines for Penny (see below)
Throw in Firefly's Nathan Fillion as the stereotypical handsome hero, as well as Felicia Day as a homeless outreach worker who both men love.
Then broadcast it free online for three consecutive weeks; overload the site's bandwidth; get it talked about and spread all over; and win an Emmy.
