This morning, Los Angeles police confirmed reports that the UCLA student who shot and killed professor Dr. William Klug was a doctoral student named Mainak Sarkar. The LAPD also said that police have discovered that Sarkar shot and killed a woman in Minnesota.

Citing law enforcement sources, CBS News reports that the two people who died in today’s shooting at UCLA were an engineering professor and a student “apparently despondent about grades.”
