Travis Barker Recovery Update: Meat is Our Friend

Arianna, Tucker, and Chris: Updated!
So yesterday we told you the story of a photo shoot with MSNBC's Chris Matthews and Tucker Carlson. Chris allegedly stormed out because Arianna Huffington was involved, and he hates her. He reportedly hates her because she once hired a private eye to follow Tim Russert (a claim she denies). It's complicated. ANYWAY! We've updated the post with emailed clarification from Tucker! AND SO MUCH MORE. Go read it again! -

Indy Hater Had Conflict of Interest
The anonymous jerk who blasted Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on Ain't It Cool News "is a theater executive who saw the film at an exhibitors’ screening this week. He spoke on condition of anonymity to avoid reprisal from the studio." Problem? "Theater executives may have an incentive to play down a movie’s prospects after such a screening, to get better terms." You see? This movie is going to be awesome! [NYT] -

Judith Regan Wins Her Slanging Match
The virtues of going quietly are much overstated. Book publisher Judith Regan, an incredibly aggressive executive in an incredibly passive industry, was offered $6m after being fired by her employer, Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation. After she threatened to expose a call from a Murdoch henchman — urging her not to testify against her former lover, Bernie Kerik — the terms improved. Maybe she could have gotten a better deal if Kerik still had the potential to embarrass the former Republican front-runner, Rudy Giuliani. Even so, the rumored $20m-$25m payoff in today's settlement is a nice improvement over Murdoch's initial offer. (Update: Another source says more like $10m, though definitions may vary.) Even after legal fees, and a slanging match (anti-semite! Giu-lovers!) with some of the dirtiest players in politics and media. If anyone could out-slang Roger Ailes, the former Nixon aide who built up Fox News for Murdoch, it's Judith Regan.

AT&T TOS to Become Less Evil
Earlier this month, we ran a story about AT&T's Terms of Service. Specifically, we said the language should "horrify the consumer public" because it essentially stated that if you talked bad about AT&T, AT&T could terminate your contract. Even to those of us who are not lawyers and/or barely read, the language was harsh (you can judge it for yourself here). [Gizmodo] -
