The only things I've watched on NBC in the last 4 years is "The Office" and "30 Rock". To the networks credit, I'm not watching anything on the other three except Family Guy.
I do watch cable shows though. Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Always Sunny, Rescue Me, Big Love, Flight of the Concords... shows that probably wouldn't work on the main networks. I wish those shows were on NBC so I could drop my cable.
@robotwaste: Unfortunately, if those shows were on NBC, they'd be completely neutered. I mean, can you imagine It's Always Sunny existing as it does on a network channel? There's no way about 65% of the jokes they make would pass the censors.
But he keeps on keeping his job, maybe because he dazzles and confuses his General Electric boss Jeffrey Immelt with reflections from his exceedingly bald head.
Bald jokes are the province of follicly gifted lowbrows. Refrain, says this solar-charged sex machine! Refrain!
I wonder what he's getting paid for this level of incompetence... He's yet another example of failing up. Go away. I know it's really Silverman's show, but seriously, Parks and Recreation? Un. Watch. A. Ble. It is exactly like a bad play your friend produced and acted in, you just keep waiting for it to get good, and then it's over. But then again, they also green lit Knight Rider 2.0, American Gladiators, and the Rosie O'Donnell show. Just go away.
I don't know what's more boring to read about, the trained monkeys that amble across our screens, or the less attractive trainers. Amuse me, Zucker. That's all I ask.
NBC's ratings are in the shitter, but I think creatively the network is doing great ... all the Thursday night shows are the best comedies on broadcast television.
@GoldenShowersFillYourEyes: Really? I loathe The Office - it's jumped the shark, and Amy Poehler's show is not that great - although it can grow into its spot.
The reast of the schedule is beyond suck. Howie Do It? Deal or No Deal? 10 PM Jay Leno?
That sound you heard was me turning on my Roku and watching instant Netflix.
@Mo MoDo: Agreed. I still have hope it'll improve, because after all, the first season of US The Office was pretty dire, too. It grew into its pretensions in the 2nd season and really took off.
@GoldenShowersFillYourEyes: I just watched Southland for the first time. It's made it on to my season pass. We will see if it gets kicked off as quickly as Life on Mars did. Maybe I just don't have the attention span. I'm sorry, what was the topic?
Well, his club kid did say that he was programming for margin at NBC, not audience. That's why he's filling the schedule with stuff that's cheap to produce (like Leno).
