    Qwest resisted the feds' wiretapping program, while other telecoms gleefully rolled over and peed themselves. So if that posture stemmed from Anschutz's leadership, I say good on him. The anti-gay stuff I can't defend, but people are complicated.

    I hesitate to draw any conclusions from broken alliances in the movie business, of all things.


    The notion that the giveaway-paper business probably isn't doing well is a better bet. But I wonder if there are statistics about it.

    @invisibletotheeye: Not a fan of the new layout either. It's all too shrunken. I never minded scrolling down past the big type in the headlines. It makes Gawker look like my Facebook homepage. Like I'm getting status updates about the media.

    @Kitten_Witawip: OK: so can I tell you a pal of mine picked up bobby trendy in LA recently, and now BT is sending him naked pics on his phone? just last night we were debating over margaritas if he should boff BT for the story (I did it to see the A-partment, dahling) - I say yes and get photos, he's not so sure
