    @teknowaffle: He's very popular in circles that you don't run in (don't feel bad about that, honestly). He's much more than an internet celebrity -- his book has been atop the humor bestsellers list for years. And, like it or not (not, not, emphasize not), his crappy movie is going to make money. I'm not saying it's going to be a Hangover-size smash, but people thinking it's going to be a direct-to-DVD joke are going to be sorely disappointed.

    Whatever you think of Tucker Max, he knows his audience, and its larger than we wish to think.

    Is this film going to make money? Interesting question. They are lying about the budget. They say 10 million. I say 8 -- max.

    Don't know the amount of theaters so I can't estimate marketing cost. Figure minimal for national -- so 5-8 million.

    I think a lot of people will see it -- on DVD. This is not an event film like Borat.

    See the theatrical release as simply a platform for DVD. They will release DVD very quickly after theatrical.

    So, yes. It will make money. Not a staggering amount. But a definite profit.

    My god, this is a poorly written commentary...are they praising Tucker Max, AND slamming Hunter S. Thompson?? Christ, I can't tell.

    And if you're in college and you've never read Thompson or de Sade...well, "go Gators."
