For real. I strongly believe that (some) people take such offense to allegations of racism (whether or not they're warranted) because it's either exactly what they were thinking, and they don't think of themselves as racist because they have friends of that blah blah blah...or they feel somehow robbed of the opportunity to express whatever comes naturally to them, and think of it as some sort of reverse-racism or political-correctness run a muck. And, hey, doesn't it really simplify the whole issue to just see racism as a scale with one side being "you" and the other being "Hitler".

Your integrity (as far as journalism is concerned) is on par with the hysterics post-9/11. The idiots that enjoy your writing are likely sheltered, as they haven't been able to leave the abode after duct taping themselves into their shelters to avoid anthrax.

However, there's something to be said about what's happened to Gawker over the past few years. Elizabeth left Dealbreaker almost 3 years ago, and that site's kept its integrity, and beyond. Humorous stories mixed with objective information holds a tidy site. Denton, on the other hand, has basically thrown information to the wolves, while asking writers to nail those PVs. Unfortunately, the model has become a "throw headlines out there, and let the commentators carry the weight." I know Gawker pulls in much more revenue than dealbreaker, but you and I both know the content has become a joke (save Lawson's softball television re-caps).
Combing drudge and throwing out some right-wing headline isn't journalism...it's hunting for retards to click your story. Grab your balls and break a story, or you'll continue to be the guy that should've taken Sheila's fall.
It's sad when the most entertaining information on this site is spewed from one of Denton's deranged "commentator" drunk nights. Perhaps Nick should drink more often than not.
