I didn't see it, nor do I have kids, but between Tracy Morgan, Galifianakis, guinea pigs, live action, talking animals, 3D, the amount of marketing they did on both mainstream and kid's channels (this is the Disney machine, after all, they don't do any promoting half-assed), if this didn't win the box office this weekend (and look at its competition) it would be the epic failure of the summer.

If I've got my hats right, the guy they sent in to deal with the bull was their butcher. Who promptly tried to pen the bull in with a shopping trolley. And failed!

@thedecider: I worked at a grocery store one summer in college, and was fortunate enough to be on the receiving end of an old lady driving her car through the front end of our store. Miraculously, nobody was seriously injured (my leg ended up being fractured, but I was able to walk after it happened). As I was hyperventilating and hobbling toward the back of the store to get away from the tobacco dust and calm the fuck down while we waited for the police and such, some woman actually asked me, obviously hurt, covered in tobacco, and crying, "Does this mean I can't buy these groceries?"

@katekate is squared: So f*n typical. I don't think that it is surprising that many, many years after I left working retail, I still have anxiety dreams about working in a store, trying to close up and not being able to get all the doors locked in time to keep people from still coming in.

When I saw "Dawn of the Dead" in a movie theatre in a mall it was also no surprise that when one of the characters sees the zombies marching toward the mall and says "Who are these people?" more than one audience member yelled "Customers!!"

I shop a lot online.
