    The best part of the "interview" was watching Matt Lauer try to "get" her--he clearly didn't listen to a word she said, went on to his next question, trying desperately to provoke her or trip her up, failed miserably,and ended up agreeing with her.


    And for all the people who want her to go away? Don't criticize her; criticism lazy comics like Letterman who go for the lowest of the low hanging fruit.

    Both Letterman and Palin should never be written about again. Letterman because his schtick isn't funny anymore, and Palin because her schtick was never funny.

    Forget about Palin -- she fell back on her predictable morally outraged kitten stance. No surprises there.


    What's up with Lauer being such a wimp and kissing her ass throughout the interview, and accepting her premise at every turn? Was it conditional that he pretend the world works the way Palin says it does in order to score the interview?

    So...he didn't vet the joke by confirming that the 18-year-old was at the game. Hardly worth a boycott.


    Palin, on the other hand, pimps out her kids every chance she gets. For this, and a variety of ethical, political and aesthetic reasons, I will continue to boycott her political aspirations.


    Would that the media had an ounce of common sense and just stopped covering these irrelevant people.

    Er, this is what happens when you sell your child for continued media coverage. Every time the embers of the Palin publicity nonsense threaten to diminish, there she is again, throwing her kid in the fire.


    I maintain that if mama Palin was so into protecting her child, Bristol never should have been available for television consumption to begin with. It was Palin who trotted her daughter out, and who's used her ever since. I'd dare say between any perceived damage Letterman has inflicted and that of the publicity seeking, Octomomish-Kateofeight rules of Palin parenting, I'm thinking old Sarah wins the "Fucked up her kid the most" trophy without question.

    I think we're overlooking a couple of things. First, forget politics. Palin's a mother protecting her child. So you think the comment was about the other daughter? She's only 18! How would you feel about some jerk making jokes about your 18 (or 14) year old daughter? Second, does Letterman really want to invite Todd (the dad) to visit him in NY? I'm guessing Todd would make Letterman his bitch in about 30 seconds. This was a tasteless, classless act by Letterman and he needs to seriously apologize.
