Oh, Camel Lights. How I used to smoke thee, until you went up to $11 a pack. Now I ration from my $5, Tennessee-bought pack. Which means I smoke once a month.

Oh thank god. I can finally go back to smoking Camel Filters again, but without the guilt.

In some countries they have Camel Mediums, which are -- I have to tell you -- the ultimate cigarette. They're in the orange box, if I remember correctly?

Also, I haven't heard it called the "corner spa" since high school. I'm adding this to my current lexicon.

wow, this is a walk down memory lane.

That said, and my original point, tied to that post that went on and on about Leno fans being stupid middle Americans and Conan fans being well-regarded urban sophisticates: if you smoke - and glorify cigarettes like this - you don't really get to call other people stupid, naive, etc.

Also, must we define ourselves by which laundry soap peddling TV personalities we identify with? Just asking...

@allyzay: @Maya Twocents: re addicted, absolutely, but addiction doesn't force you to post a bunch of pictures of cigarette packs and repackage cigarette company marketing as some kind of cultural insight.
Allyzay - different authors, yes, but Gawker wants to both lord it over Leno fans, and post this type of thing, and I don't think you can lord it over anyone when you're promoting cigarettes.

Also, I kind of agree with that Breitbart guy about right wing extremism not being the same as a homocidal racist. Wow, maybe it's time for the star to go!

@Rumpelstilskin: we used to trade the euro warning ones...like if a guy got the impotence one, and the girl got the deformed fetus one, we'd trade, because girls can't get impotence and guys can't have fetuses. we figured that'd work out okay.

Well, they also decreased the amount of nicotene in the lights without mentioning it to anyone so that more people would buy more cigarettes to get the same dose. It is more cost efficient of you to just buy the reds, since one more point up and the light would've been a "normal",anyhow.

What they don't tell you is that if you just pray for God to take away your addiction, he will take it away if you have the faith to let him handle it. It's really that simple. I quit drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes that way. It took a few years, but now the desire is gone because I just prayed constantly,had faith and was patient, just as God will be for you!

I call Parliaments Palmolives. I used to be a pretentious fancy pants and smoked Export A, Ultra Lights. It was like smoking tobacco flavored air, had a short filter and came with a calendar on every box!
