PS - Rosehearty? Seriously? A lonely media magnate who pines for timber-hewn thingos called 'Rose'?
Rupert. Who's writing your scripts these days? I expect a little more originality from you, of all people.
@iplaudius: Who would pay that kind of munee to rent a fucking sailboat and take it to GODDAMN ALASKA? What's wrong with gazillionaires these days? Whatever happened to Barbados? The Maldives? Seychelles? The Cote d'Azur? Please.
No pristine wilderness there (Except maybe in the Maldives or the Seychelles -- who knows what those two have. Alaska is wild and wooly, and the fish... oh the fish. The coffee also tastes much better when you drink it in Alaska.
If they're closing in, simply say 3 hale Macquaries, strap yourself into the cosy Haggis Mark II escape pod submersible hydrofoil, pilot down to Dunsinane-Upon-Seafloor and from there manage the rest of your evil McPlot
The flag in pic #5 is the Italian ensign, which makes sense because the boat was built in Italy. The flag the CityFile pics show is the Manx flag, so Murdoch probably actually has the boat registered in the Isle of Man, a pretty well known tax haven.

And, since I've already outed myself as a flag geek, I'll reveal myself as a boat geek, too. Your update correspondent has it slightly wrong. While it is true that you should have a courtesy flag, it's usually a tiny thing flown from the rigging. It doesn't replace the ensign of the home country.
(Apparently I'm not geeky enough to figure out how to get HTML in my Gawker comments, though. )
