Has anyone noticed that Hulu may be having a terrible time selling ad slots? Since Hulu's launch, ads get far too much repetition and many of them are Ad Council PSAs. Lately I also see ad slots that are just empty -- segments of a show play without interruption. (Could some of this be because I'm in a small coastal California town? Do they target ads based on IP address geolocation?)

I see a lot of raves in the press about Hulu, but they don't release revenues and no one's asking hard questions about their business. (And of course WallyVag is the last place I expect to see this.)

@92BuickLeSabre: Insanity. The only ABC show I can even name is Grey's Anatomy, and man does that show suck.

@czecher: Honestly ABC does have some good shows. Castle this season is fun, Boston Legal though now gone was amazing, there is of course Lost, and the now have Scrubs, and keep an eye out for Cupid, they are just dusting it off right now, but once it gets up to speed it might be something... But with their interface I never watch them online which is the only way I ever watch anything to begin with.

@czecher: I'm just going to ignore your decision to ignore Lost.

Offering videos exclusively to the customers of one specific cable company? Uh, net neutrality?

What happened to "Don't Be Evil"?

@kimsama: This has nothing to do with net neutrality. A specific site can decide who gets to see what and for how much money. Net Neutrality is about how ISPs treat content.

I am outraged that Harper's Island will not be on Hulu! I don't want to have to watch it on crappy Youtube! How can I enjoy the outrageously creative deaths if they're blurry and keep jilting? Grr...

The best part about Hulu is that the comments on videos aren't easily viewable - somehow all the stupidest people in the world manage to comment on every YouTube video ever

@leonleonleon: Can't you just ignore the comments on YouTube if they upset you so much? It doesn't bother me that your stupid comment's in plain sight.

@lawnsprinkler: The YouTube comments are annoying and intrusive compared to Hulu. Hulu's got the better design overall.

If there's an account setting on YouTube to make the comment section invisible, I haven't found it; it would be a very good feature.
