The idea is that entrepreneurs would record a short summary of their startup's strategy, allowing venture capitalist to winnow the field before taking an actual meeting. Not a terrible idea. But let me put it this way: when one meets the internet reporter, it comes as no surprise that her name is Bambi. She's attractive, sweet, deerlike — and an unlikely entrepreneur. Unlikely, were this not the late, florid stage of the internet cycle, in which even the improbable becomes commonplace.
