    Missing python tracked down

Our long nightmare is over. Kaiser, the python on the loose in Google's Manhattan complex, has finally been tracked down. We're getting reports that the three-foot snake — a danger to mice but not to humans, unless they're very delicate — was discovered by housekeeping staff yesterday evening. The gray-and-brown reptile, smuggled in by a snake-obsessed techie called Adam (click here for background) who couldn't bear to be away from his pet during the workday, was still on the fourth floor, where it went missing from its tank. The exact location, according to a tipster, was not disclosed: Google didn't want to alarm the office's residents, who had probably been sitting with the python all day. According to our correspondent: "His distraught owner was called and he officially vacated the premises around 10:15 pm." Well, that's the end of bring-your-snake-to-work day.
