Steve Jobs throws Cingular to the geeks

iPhoneSo Steve Jobs has annoyed some of the more dogmatic technologists by making Apple's new smartphone a closed system. The iPhone will run software developed by the Cupertino consumer electronics company, and its partners, but not by unapproved developers.
