Just in time for holiday shopping, Google has removed the video search link from its homepage in favor of its product search. This reverses Google's August 2006 decision to replace a link to Froogle, its old shopping search, with a link to Google Video. With video results now appearing in Google's regular search and more video searchs starting on Google's YouTube, the video-search link on Google.com was increasingly irrelevant. [Google Blogoscoped]
