Antonin Scalia: I Suspect I Have Homosexual FriendsS

In an interview with New York magazine, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia sat down with Jennifer Senior and shared his feelings about words, women, homosexuals, the Devil, Jesus, and Claire Danes.

Scalia, who is known for his candor, has no problem continuing to show the world just how out of touch he actually is. While you must read the entire interview yourself to truly witness the insanity, there are some highlights.

How does Scalia feel about words?

“Words have meaning. And their meaning doesn’t change.”

How does Scalia feel about women saying the “F-word”?

“One of the things that upsets me about modern society is the coarseness of manners. You can’t go to a movie—or watch a television show for that matter—without hearing the constant use of the F-word—including, you know, ladies using it. People that I know don’t talk like that!”

How does Scalia feel about the Catholic church being more welcome to gay men and women?

"I have friends that I know, or very much suspect, are homosexual. Everybody does."

How does Scalia feel about the Devil?

"[Leans in, stage-whispers.] I even believe in the Devil."

How does Scalia feel about Jesus Christ?

"I mean, Jesus Christ believed in the Devil!"

How does Scalia feel about Homeland?

"I don’t watch Homeland. I don’t even know what Homeland is. I watched one episode of—what is it? Duck Dynasty?"

He ends the interview saying most his Supreme Court opinions "don't take guts." Instead, they "take smarts."
