Generally, rats in New York City run rampant on the subway tracks. Rarely do the rodents get inside the actual subway car, though that's just what happened on Monday morning.

When Jinais Ponnampadikkal Kader boarded a downtown A train at the Fulton Street stop in Brooklyn, an exiting passenger reportedly yelled out "RAT!"

"By the time everyone realized what was happening, the doors closed and the train entered the tunnel," Kader wrote on YouTube. "We were stuck with him until the other end."

As you can see in the video above, good-natured panic ensued. It's not known when—or if—the rat made it off the train.
