The Ultimate Miley Cyrus Reaction Song Has Already Been Written
Internet troubadour Jon LaJoie this morning released his most necessary song to date — "Miley, You're a Good Girl." Sung over Kid Cudi's "Pursuit of Happiness" (or Ratatat's "Black Heroes" if you're a purist), Lajoie's ode takes on the double standard inherent in many of the criticisms directed at Cyrus.
We want topless women in our music videos / we want pop stars acting like they're in a porno / you know we want it and we gettin' what we ask for / but then when Miley does it we say 'oh my God, no!'
Of course, if your objection to Miley's performance is that it was just plain bad, your opinion is still valid.
