The New York NBC affiliate caught Weiner and his wife Huma Abedin, filming a video on the steps of his childhood home in Brooklyn, a video that will almost certainly be part of an announcement of Weiner's campaign for mayor.
Since being spotted by the NBC news team, Weiner's group quickly fled the scene, but there's really not much to keep hidden anymore. Weiner has hired an untested campaign manager, and attempted to put together a campaign team (which hasn't been the easiest task).
It's possible that Weiner will jump into the Mayoral race as early as next week, as he looks to change New York's minds about his tweeting affair. Already, valuable union and Democratic club endorsements are being given out, meaning that at the latest, Weiner would have to announce his candidacy sometime next week.
