actually, CUNY & SUNY students get into the MoMA for free -- and this applies to continuing ed students too. so take a night class and never have to pay $20 at MoMA again.

also, the Met hike makes me nostalgic for the heady days of the late '90s when they were trying to muscle out the artists, who fought back by handing out cards with a penny taped to them and encouraging everyone to give it to the Met as their "suggested donation." sounds like someone ought to give it another try...
