Actually, it's EXACTLY the agent who should be calling if the payment is late - that's part of the agent's job. The agent ought to be reasonable and polite, but persistent. I swear, such agents exist. No, I'm not giving you their numbers.

It's certainly a big step up from Diary of a Park Slope Mommy.

And yes, Alfonso, just as everyone going into the Ralph's on Wilshire has a screenplay in his trunk, everyone on the train (at least on the 2/3 train) has a novel tucked inside that alligator bag.

Yah. This is great stuff. If only that it really riles up you New Yorkers by revealing to the world that each and every one of you seems to be a mean, cranky novelist who believes the world really owes them something.

I find that kind of hilarious. Does the whole city get on the subway in the morning, furiously scribbling on foolscap pads, all trying to relate your experience at Trader Joe's to the Holocaust?

in my creative writing class at south dakota community college professor Viswanathan said we can 'borrow' credit for books (like the one pictured) that don't have the authors name clearly noted on the front.
