According to Alexa, 59% of his traffic comes from the US, if you do the math with the 1.7 million number, it comes out to about 3 mil worldwide, still not 4 million, tho. Unless you measure from his late Feb peak of about 2.2 million US or about 4 million worldwide.

Forget unique visitors, a dicey number using any measurement system, but the guy is getting roughly 30 million pageviews a week! Go ahead and make assumptions that his actual "audience" is much smaller, that it's the same commenters every day, and they just refresh all day long but...well, I don't think you want to stare too long in that mirror.
