I realize that I am a day late and a post short here but I was just on The Observer's site and NYmag's site and: 1) a newspaper that more or less hates everyone somehow likes Sloane Crosley and she's the douchebag?? Yeah, probably, that makes sense and 2) I got lost in the prose of this weird post but from what I understand: you guys are attacking her because of something a reporter said she said that she never said about herself, right? Just checking.

Not saying there wasn't plenty of material here (though anyone who says the "what if I hit you?" to an Observer reporter is my hero) but what is this, Les Fucking Mis? I'm a little bored so I think I'll go accuse my mailman stealing my UPS packages and see what happens.

Oh man, I used to edit the books section at a magazine and would absolutely dread Sloan Crosley's calls. She's aggressively friendly and way too familiar and has this rotten "hip" chummy sense of humor that reminded me of Zach Braff. I'm somewhat surprised that actual adults find her charming.
