@ThighHigh: I've often wondered that myself. The only thing I've come up w/ is that it's the same principle as the most popular girl in high school: she's never the smartest, prettiest, most interesting or accomplished one because then she'd frighten the sheep. It's easy to identify w/ Katie b/c the bar is not too high. I wonder if Katie always feels that's she's on TV; she seems so frighteningly hyper aware of the camera even when she's pretending to be down to earth.
