Thanks! No, wordpress.com doesn't let me run Google Analytics, but the WP stats tell me that this has gotten 34 clicks from this page, 13 from the Gawker.com main page, and a total of 79 hits, not counting those who viewed it on the main raincoaster.com page, which would probably be most of the readers, since I'm not as bright at Pareene and didn't put details over the jump.

I guess this puts the kibosh (sp?) on that bit in The Hitchhiker's Guide, where a race of superior beings hover just outside the solar system so they can listen to radio astrology broadcasts, which they consider the only way to understand the universe.
